Currently at Khare (4800m) taking an acclimatization stop. Tomorrow we head up to base camp with a summit bid scheduled on 21 October. The trip to this point has taken us through some amazing landscapes.

Four days into our Mera Peak climb and we have been blessed with great weather. We have just arrived at Chalom at 3600 metres. The tea house lady from our previous nights stay carried one of our bags, and then back the same day to cook meals for the next guests!

Summit day Mt Wilhelm. Early start from our camp and a direct route up a steep gully. Glorious views.

Day 5 Mt Wilhelm Traverse. Khu Poke (3600m) to Seeku (3850m). An amazing traverse along knife edge ridges. Only 2.5 km in distance but a solid day's walk. Spectacular landscape but the views were limited due to cloud cover. Our campsite at Seeku was high above a lake, nestled among large grass tussocks.

Day 4 on our Mt Wilhelm traverse took us to Khu Poke at 3500 metres elevation. We left the montane forest and emerged into the grasslands. Some amazing track work by our local guides.
