It takes a village to safely open a working factory and farm to 1200+ visitors ... and boy do we have an amazing village. 🙌
Thanks to everyone who visited us yesterday for Carrot Day. It was epic as ever.
We hope you had as good a time as we did and are putting all of those carrots to good use. 🥕
We feel great joy when we see those huge smiles and muddy hands loaded with carrots.
A huge thank you to our entire team of staff, volunteers and supporters for your role in making Carrot Day possible.
A special shoutout to our Carrot Day leader, the Conjuror of Carrots Tracey Rieck, who keeps us organised, to the Harrisville Lions for the BBQ and the team who prep the site in the week prior.
And to Narelle and Kent who came to the rescue last minute with a coffee van ☕.
Don't forget continues this week and concludes with the signature event - the Winter Harvest Festival - at Kalbar next Saturday June 28.
Our crew will be there BBQing sweet corn 🌽 and contesting the Tractor Pull 🚜.

🏃‍♂️ Kokoda Challenge Ambassador Walk – Sunday. 6 July 🥾
Calling all Kokoda Challenge participants, supporters, and trail enthusiasts! Join Jason from Anaconda for the Kokoda Challenge Ambassador Walk on Sunday, 6 July, starting promptly at 8am from the Nerang Velodrome (8 Hope Street, Nerang).
📍 Please arrive by 7:30AM to be ready for an on-time start
⏱️ Duration: Approximately 4–5 hours, depending on group pace
📏 Distance:15.2km total
This is an excellent practice hike for the Gold Coast Kokoda Challenge, covering:
- The first 8.7km of the 30km course
- The final 6.5km returning to the Velodrome
Whether you're training for the event or just want to connect with fellow Kokodians, this is a fantastic opportunity to test your gear, build camaraderie, and experience the trail.
