GRAND MIRAGE RESORT & THALASSO SPA REVIEW
My family are recently returned from Grand Mirage Resort & Thalasso Spa, after 5 nights that went far too quickly. Was so great to be back in Bali, this time with our son and trying out a different Resort!
Grand Mirage Resort is beachfront closer to Tanjung Benoa (Watersports area) rather than the main Nusa dua precint.
We stayed in an Premier Oceanview room which can easily fit up to 2 adults, 2 children plus a cot (if you’re willing to share the massive super king bed with a small child. 1 x super king, 1 x single is the max bedding configuration plus cot on request if needed.
We had spectacular views of the ocean and vibrant pinks from the bougainvilleas planted along every balcony.
The included buffet breakfast was huge, you sort of have to walk far between each section, but it’s nice and open to sit inside or outside along the deck for fresh air and views of the pool.
The food was really great here at grand mirage, lots of options between restaurants beachfront or upstairs at Chopsticks in the family paradise building for example.
They have a board in the main breakfast room that lists all the activities available for adults/child for the week so you can plan what you’re going to get up to for the day.
Babysitting services - we used on two occasions. Needs to be booked at least 4 hours in advance or the day prior. Pricing starting from about $13 an hour. We loved our nannies they were reliable, and great with our son and got him to sleep both times so we could have dinner as a couple. They also send picture updates on what they’ve been up to.
There is a big waterslide for the kids at the family paradise building. The main pool at the main building has a rock waterfall which is a bit of fun and close to the swim up bar for refreshments while enjoying the warmth and water.
Lots of watersports along the beachfront you can organise from jet-skiing to banana boating, parasailing, plenty! As well as little markets selling clothes, jewellery and goods.
We used the transfer service from the resort one day to take a trip to Jimabaran Bay for a seafood lunch. Was real warm that day, had the best feed and bintangs at Happy Moon cafe. Our driver stayed close by and was a phone call away if we needed him.
We also went to Bali Zoo! This is great for the kids - recommend 🙂
Lazy river pool was closed for maintenance until our last day, so bittersweet but we just decided to leave it - looked so nice and peaceful though seen people floating up and down in it.
Overall the service and cleanliness of this resort was impeccable. The Balinese are FANTASTIC with children, lenny was constantly happy and smiling in full holiday mode and loving all the attention from the local staff.
I could really keep going on about this place, but I will wrap it up there and leave this space open for any questions 😊
I must say one thing, if we were there for longer and planned activities more from the resort we definitely would have recommended being on an all inclusive rate!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ five stars from me and we will be back one day.
