My FSouthbound Escapes Escapes Experience

One of the highlights of my time with Southbound Escapes was the Slow Food Walk. We wandered through the charming streets of a historic National Trust village, tasting incredible locally produced delicacies and learning about the rich food heritage still alive today. The experience was made even more memorable with an optional rum tasting, beautifully curated by Sweetwater Bar and Saloon. A perfect blend of culture, flavor, and history — truly unforgettable.

Join us for a hands-on Cyanotype Print Workshop at the Dromedary Hotel on May 10th, 2025. This workshop is perfect for creatives, photographers, and nature lovers interested in learning the beautiful, historic art of cyanotype printing.

What is Cyanotype?
Cyanotype is a 19th-century photographic printing process that produces striking blue-toned prints using sunlight and a simple chemical reaction. You’ll learn how to coat paper or fabric, expose prints using natural materials or negatives, and develop your own unique artworks.

Workshop Details:

Duration: Approximately 2 ½ hours
Cost: $45 per person
Spaces Available: 15 participants
Materials: Some materials will be supplied, but please bring your own paper and cloth to experiment with.
