, Please contact us by Facebook. More information to follow. Selling in 2 1/2 & 5 kg boxes.
Kindest regards and thank you for your interest in our enterprise.
Things are a little delayed here due to funerals and other matters.
Hope you are all well

Dear Friends,
It’s been a while since I posted. There has been a lot on.
Looks like our first pick of the new date season will be on 16-18 Feb. There is some chance of rain before then but God willing, it will be minimal.
Our 7xdate processing machines have been made and are to be shipped in the next few days. Takes 35 days to get to Port of Brisbane so might not make it for this harvest as they have yet to be installed.
Our big shed and cold rooms are under construction, but also will not be usable for this harvest, and we have no power yet. The solar array is yet to be constructed too.
So you see, we are well underway, but not there yet.
Another big thing that has happened is that my wife Veronica’s father, Alan Klante, died recently and is to be buried on 20 Feb, so there will be a quick trip to Tottenham, NSW for that. Alan gave us a great deal of support in this date project we are undertaking.
So there is a bit of news for you. It won’t be a big harvest this year, but we hope to make good use of what the Lord gives us.

Kind regards to all
Mark

Hello everyone,
Just wanted to share a picture of my new hustler mower that got burned up last week!😢. A friend was driving it, and got into a ditch, must’ve had some dry grass up by the exhaust or something, fire broke out, probably melted the fuel tank and exploded. Nothing left. Pretty bad situation. Feel sorry for the friend. Oh, the ups and downs of farming.🙃

Hello friends of Outback Date Farm. Welcome to beautiful camping in the outback! A back drop of elegant palm trees, a beautiful sunset stretching out before your view in a quiet non-light polluted environment What a place to stay! We don’t have power of course so you’ll have to be self-sufficient.

Have just had good friends Cor & Ingeborg staying overnight on their way back from blaze aid volunteering out west. Flood repair. They have helped us a lot on the farm also as Volunteers. Anyone is welcome to Camp for free, just do a little work (2 hours), around the place to help out - or more if you want.😃

We’re open for business. Tours have restarted for 2025 after the heavy rains. We have now dried out sufficiently on the farm to get around. Just thought I’d let you know.

Hello everyone. By now we should be well on the way with the tourist season! However the high floodwaters around the bush out west here have slowed down the tourist traffic. It’s made things very soggy on the farm as well. So we will be delaying our opening for the Date farm tours till 19 April when our first tour will be run. Hope you’re all well. Looking forward to the new season. A good chance to get lots of maintenance done on the farm. Kindest regards, Mark.
