A huge congratulations to our very own Bill on his nomination for Outstanding Contribution by a Volunteer, Host or Guide category at the North Queensland Tourism & Events Awards! 👏

As a dedicated volunteer at the Charters Towers Visitor Information Centre and Historic Ambulance Museum, a local tour guide and one of our much-loved Town Criers, Bill generously shares his time, knowledge and passion for the Charters Towers region with visitors and locals alike.

🚗🌟 THE VARIETY BASH IS COMING TO GREENVALE! 🌟🚗

Get ready for a colourful convoy and plenty of community spirit when the 2026 QLD Variety Bash rolls into Greenvale on Thursday, 20 August!

The Bash is Australia’s longest-running charity motoring event, bringing together everyday Queenslanders who have spent months fundraising to support children who are sick, experiencing disadvantage or living with disability. ❤️
