Our Giingan Gumbaynggirr Cultural Experience is an award-winning, 2.5 hour Indigenous tour held at Niigi Niigi (Sealy Lookout) in the Orara East State Forest on Gumbaynggirr Country.

Immerse yourself in Gumbaynggirr culture through language, dance and storytelling. Learn about the native plants and listen to Gumbaynggirr stories of how the land was made as you walk from Niigi Niigi to Korora Lookout to watch the Giingan Yiiliwiyay Girrwaa dancers performance.

Before the tour starts guests can head to the Nyanggan Gapi Cafe to purchase a delicious coffee and cake.

Join us Saturday 12th September up at Niigi Niigi (Sealy Lookout) for our Giingan Gumbaynggirr Cultural Experience.

Walk through Gumbaynggirr Country with us, listen to some of our stories, learn about the native plants along the way and finish the tour watching our ‘Giingan Yiiliwiyay Girrwaa’ dancers perform.

Held monthly on the second Saturday of the month the Giingan Experience is an interactive afternoon consisting of a 2.5 hour informative tour with local, knowledgeable Aboriginal Guides. The Cultural Experience takes place at an important cultural site of the Gumbaynggirr people, the stunning location of “Niigi Niigi” (Sealy Lookout) nestled within the Orara East State Forest.

On our monthly Giingan Gumbaynggirr Cultural Experience, Clark shares how the new highway works uncovered thousands of artifacts all sitting along the same track our Old People walked from the mountains down to the ocean.

One of the tracks we walk on our Giingan Gumbaynggirr Cultural Experience in the Orara State Forest isn't new, it's an old track from generations ago 🌿

Clark shares how you can still spot scar trees along the way where our old people cut bark to make canoes, shelters, coolamons for carrying babies. Learn more about these old tracks on our Cultural Experience this Saturday.
