POSITION AVAILABLE:
Come and work for Murray River Adventures - we are looking for an additional kayaking guide.

This is a super healthy and great casual position.
You will be part of the strongest guiding team in the country (Sydney Harbour Kayaks) Training provided (in Sydney and Cohuna)
Our tours are usually between 90 minutes and 4 hours.

You will require:
> A strong level of kayaking
> First aid
> Experience paddling sea kayaks (like a Mirage 580)
> Local Knowledge of the Gunbower Forest
> Must have a car with roof racks / and/or tow ball.
> Experience towing a trailer
> Ideally, you will have had some experience in other guiding situations.

Interviews will be held online and then in Sydney (with training)

Not long to go until the Massive Murray Paddle / MMP 415 paddlers come past on November 22. This is the first time in the races 55years that it will paddle through the Gunbower Forest. From Gunbower to Koondrook. Lots of teams are going to be staying at Gunbower, Cohuna and Koondrook.

NOTICE FROM THE 2024 MASSIVE MURRAY PADDLE. (55th running of the race)

We truly hope that November 2024 is our time to complete our new final day - Gunbower to Koondrook.

The forest is currently in great condition and we have 70 days until race day.

THE RACE STARTS IN YARRAWONGA ON NOVEMBER 18 AND FINISHES AT THE KOONDROOK WHARF ON NOVEMBER 22.

Paddlers should start finishing the race from about 2pm through to about 5.30pm.

We are advertising that all teams stay in the region between the 21st to 23rd.

The last day should have about 300/400 people around the finish area.

There are some opportunities for some local groups / businesses to get involved.

Cohuna is part of Stage One of the Murray River Adventure Trail. (Murray River Road)
The Gannawarra Shire Council have done a super job in getting the preparations ready for the trail’s development.

Opportunities for so many small businesses.

Council are pleased to share that Murray Regional Tourism are now seeking community feedback on the draft alignment for Stages 2 & 3 of the Murray River Adventure Trail!

The Murray River Adventure trail will extend from Wentworth in the west, to Albury/Wodonga in the east. Stage 1 (Echuca/Moama) is already underway and being delivered by Parks Victoria. Now, Murray Regional Tourism are in the process of developing the concept masterplan from Stages 2 & 3, which includes our local government area.

We encourage you to explore the interactive map to add your comments, find out more about Stages 2 & 3 of the Murray River Adventure Trail, and help contribute your local knowledge to shape this exciting project!

The website will be open for community feedback from Monday 15 July until Friday 2 August.
