Time is running out to pitch in and have your say - help protect Gunbower Creek and Gunbower Forest to ensure they thrive for generations to come.

We’re updating two plans in the coming years to help manage the long-term future of the creek and guide the delivery of water for the environment at Gunbower Forest.

We know locals and visitors love Gunbower Creek and the world-renown floodplain forest and want to have a say about how they’re managed.

So, before we start the plans, we want to hear from you.

Three years ago the forest water height was 1.6 at the Yarran Track. Yesterday it was only 1.15. This watering has only been to fill in the main waterways. The forest mostly remains dry. Lovely for all the animals around.

They are thriving by the way, kangaroo, wallabies, emu, goannas and koala were all seen on our current kayaking adventures

Yarran Creek and Green Swamp looking amazing. The forest is currently in great condition and our kayaking adventures are as fun as always....

Deep Deep inside the flooded Gunbower Forest - playing around the trees near Green Swamp.... So much life, so many birds and lovely wildlife on the dry sections. The forest is in a wonderfully healthy position.....
