Makuru season is coming 💙 The South West is moving into its coldest and wettest time of year, bringing crisp air, steady rain, and cosy winter days across the region.

It’s the perfect season to embrace the outdoors in a different way. Rug up for camping under the stars with a campfire and toasted marshmallows, or head into town for a warm, hearty meal at a local pub after a day of exploring.

From misty mornings to fireside evenings, winter in Collie is all about slowing down and taking it all in 🍃❄️🧘‍♂️

By late autumn, Minningup Pool in Visit Collie stops feeling like a summer spot and starts feeling suspended in time.

The water goes glassy.
The bush wraps you in quiet.
The ducks...okay, no the ducks still run the joint. 🤷‍♀️🦆

The best bit though is that this isn’t some far-flung river hours from anywhere. It’s five minutes from Collie’s town centre and close enough to Perth that you could leave after breakfast and be here before lunch.
