A recent visitor ‘Hudson’ aged 6, enjoyed some of his school holiday time at Turning Tides.

On returning to school he painted his impression of Coochie.

Thanks Hudson for sharing your beautiful painting with us - we are glad you loved your adventures at Coochie & enjoyed exploring Morwong Beach, swimming with Mum, riding around the island, exploring for shells, crabs and eating pancakes ready for more activity!

Welcome to Winter - every season is great on Coochie!
Enjoy a warm early morning coffee by the beach as the sun rises. Then breakfast on the veranda when the sun drenches the front lawn for hours. A good dose of Vitamin D and Sea are included in your stay at Turning Tides.

Escape for a couple of days or more to recharge and chase away any seasonal moods!!

A glowing sunset over Moreton Bay off Morwong Beach this evening 👌

Venus was shining brightly in the clear sky as we remembered with love one of our beloved fur friends ‘Lucy’ who suddenly passed over the rainbow bridge yesterday 😥🌈🐕

Lucy and her family are very dear friends and she loved her times on Coochie - running around the island with her human Dad, walking with the family, standing on the paddle board, swimming with the family, playing fetch in the yard and loving being with everyone everywhere. Her boundless energy, constant smiling happy face and zest for life we all admired and loved about her.

Our condolences & love to all the Reynolds family 🙏💔

The soon to be winter sun beaming through the large gum tree into the front yar, drenching the veranda whilst the tide laps Morwong Beach.

Morning perfection - far away from the busyness of the routine life.

So close to home for a weekend, week day work away, celebration, relaxation, long stay or gathering with friends and family.

Where would you like to be waking up on a mild Autumn morning with your beloved fur family?

The bird life awakens as the sun rises and peaks to the east over North Stradbroke Island. The grass appears to have a sprinkle of glitter layered overnight by fairies as the sun dances across her.

The day beckons as the tide rises and calls for exploration through the wetlands and into the waters of Moreton Bay.

Coffee is brewing and a view to savour it from, where the soul is calmed and the mind can quieten.

When did you last treat yourself to an island getaway so close to home - we’d be surprised if you didn’t want to linger for longer once here!

Autumn is an awesome time to spend a few days or more at Turning Tides - the warm weather & water are perfect to enjoy the sun & bay, longer times to lay on the grass and rest and chat with friends and fur babies, a fire to sit around and catch up over a drink, dinner and toasted marshmallows.

We have limited time left when our rental will be closed to guests for a period of time from mid June.

Located a short barge ride from Victoria Point, you can reach our home within 2 hours door to door from the southern Gold Coast or Northern NSW.

We accommodate up to 8 people comfortably with an outdoor fire, BBQ, a walk across the road to Morwong Beach and fully enclosed fence for your fur babies and children.
