TEMPORARY CLOSURE - COONABARABRAN VISITOR INFORMATION CENTRE
Due to staff illness, the Coonabarabran Visitor Information Centre will be temporarily closed today, Thursday 4 June, from 12:30pm to 5:00pm.

The Centre is expected to reopen and resume normal operating hours from 9:00am on Friday 5 June.

For enquiries, please email [email protected] or leave a voicemail on (02) 6849 2144 and staff will return your call when services resume.

We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

✨ Discover the updated Coonabarabran Visitor Information Centre
Recent improvements have refreshed the shop floor and reception layout, making the space more accessible, easier to navigate, and better set up to showcase local brochures, displays, and retail items.

The updates also provide clearer access to the Diprotodon exhibition, helping create a better experience for both locals and visitors.

🕘 Open 7 days, 9:00am to 5:00pm (excluding Christmas Day)

Blokes InSight, supported by the Rotary Club of Coonabarabran and hosted by Elders Coonabarabran is bringing the community together for a relaxed evening of food, connection, and conversation with “BBQ with the Blokes”.

This free community BBQ is all about creating a space where men, and the wider community, can catch up, share a meal, and have open conversations around mental health and support.

🌿 JUNIOR RANGER ADVENTURE - WARRUMBUNGLE NATIONAL PARK
Looking for something fun, active, and a little bit different these school holidays?

The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service Junior Ranger Adventure is a guided 1km bushwalk designed just for kids, where they’ll learn how to track animals, identify birdsong, and explore how plants and animals are all connected. The experience wraps up with a hands-on craft activity, because muddy hands and creativity go hand in hand.

📅 Dates: Tuesday 7 & 14 April 2026
🕐 Time: 1pm to 2.30pm
📍 Location: Warrumbungle Visitor Centre, Warrumbungle National Park

$15 per child (ages 5–12) and adults free (must accompany children)
