Station Hand – Romani Pastoral

🐑 Hands-on livestock role and ongoing training

Romani Pastoral Company operates a 9,621-hectare mixed farming operation in the Harden/Jugiong area of southern NSW, running a large-scale livestock and cropping enterprise. The property is home to 7,000 Merino ewes, 18,000 prime line ewes and 1,000 Angus breeders, alongside 3,000 hectares of dryland cropping and an extensive regenerative pasture program.
The Role
As a Station Hand, you’ll work closely with the livestock team across all aspects of sheep and cattle husbandry, along with general property maintenance and seasonal programs. You’ll bring your own team of working dogs and work alongside experienced people, gaining exposure to a diverse livestock operation.

Training is ongoing and practical, with working dog training conducted on-farm and opportunities to undertake Lifetime Ewe Management, Prograze, calving schools and more.
About You
Whether you are an experienced stockperson or someone earlier in your career who is keen to learn, you’ll be encouraged to take on new responsibilities and progress within the business.
We’re looking for someone who:
• Has experience working with livestock and their own team of working dogs
• Holds a manual driver’s licence
• Has good practical and mechanical aptitude
• Is reliable, hardworking and takes pride in their work
