A different perspective of the rainforest.

Jarrabina Terraces winds through the mid-canopy, offering a view of the Daintree that few people get to experience. This accessible boardwalk sits among the treetops, revealing another layer of one of the world’s oldest rainforests.

Scrub pythons are one of the largest snakes in the Daintree Rainforest, known for their impressive size and ability to blend seamlessly into the canopy.

Non-venomous and rarely seen in motion, they rely on camouflage and patience, often coiled along branches or tucked into tree hollows.

These bracket fungi are nature’s clean-up crew, breaking down fallen timber and returning nutrients back into the forest floor.

Look a little closer on your next walk and you will start to see the rainforest differently. It is not just growing… it is constantly rebuilding itself.

Spotted one along the track lately?

Meet the Northern Stony Creek Frog (Litoria jungguy), a familiar face across the Daintree and the wider Wet Tropics. Often spotted clinging to rocks beside fast-flowing streams, this species knows how to handle the current.

Next time you are near the water, slow down… you might spot one holding its ground.
