Nestled between the rolling hills of the Huon valley you will find Eden Farm on the outskirts of Cygnet. Our 40 acre farm is a comfortable country hideaway for families, couples or small groups - your accommodation is a renovated Barn from c.1935 which has been lovingly restored to luxury accommodation for up to 9 guests plus room for additional cots. Eden Farm offers guests the chance to get up close and personal with the animals on our daily feeding tours in the late afternoons. At Eden Farm we make our own raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar and small batches of artisan cider. Guests will spot many native animals while strolling over the farm and might even glimpse our resident platypus in one of our dams. The farm is all about relaxing, getting back to nature and reconnecting with your family. Wake up to the fresh country air of Tasmania, it's country living at its best. Making every stay simply brilliant. Give us a call next time you plan to holiday in Tasmania. We look forward to your visit.

You bring the wine, we’ve got the couch.

Stretch out, settle in, and let time slow down. This is where the stories start — long chats, belly laughs, fireside moments, and maybe a visit from one of our curious farm animals just outside the window. This is Barn life, and it’s anything but ordinary.

Remember all those lemons from this morning? They’ve now become a golden, zesty lemon shortcake tart — and every bit as good as it looks! The leftover juice has been poured into trays and frozen, ready to bring a burst of sunshine to future dishes and drinks. 🍋✨

Good morning, lovely people 🌞
We’ve just passed the shortest day of the year, and I have to admit — I love these cosy winter days. Think fireplaces, candles glowing, and something sweet baking in the kitchen 🕯️🍋
This morning I’m easing into the week by turning a bowl of freshly picked lemons into a delicious lemon slice… just as soon as I finish tidying up the Barn after a successful weekend event.

Wherever you are, take it slow and savour the start of a new week 💛

Busy day on the farm today with the NRM South Fencing and Animal Husbandry & Health Workshop!

A big thank you to our guest speakers Matthew Hall from Matthew Hall Rural Fencing, and local vets Eileen Wronski and Barry Calderbank for sharing their wealth of knowledge.
From hands-on fencing tips to all different animal care scenarios, it was an informative and interactive day full of valuable insights for anyone managing small farms or hobby herds.

Plenty of questions, discussions, and practical advice we love seeing our local farming community come together like this!

A much-needed wet weekend brought life back to the orchards and filled the tanks—yet it didn’t dampen our spirits one bit. Nature put on a stunning show to top it off, with this double rainbow casting magic over the valley. 🌈🌧️🍎

Cygnet is full of charming country shops that celebrate local goodness — from fresh-baked sourdough to garden-fresh herbs. We’re lucky to have two fantastic butchers, a top-notch bakery, and our favourite spot for seasonal vegetables and fish: the Cygnet Larder.

You really can’t go wrong when cooking with such beautiful, fresh produce. Whether it’s a bunch of crisp greens, a loaf of crusty bread, or mushrooms picked just that morning — it all tastes better when it’s local.

Country living on an orchard

Nestled between the rolling hills of the Huon valley you will find Eden Farm on the outskirts of Cygnet. Our 40 acre farm is a comfortable country hideaway for families, couples or small groups - accommodating up to 14 people.

The farm, originally used for only the apple production, is now a lovely blend of fresh produce, orchards and paddocks with a variety of friendly farm animals. Eden Farmstay offers guests the chance to get up close and personal with the animals on our daily feeding tours in the late afternoons.

At Eden Farm we make our own raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar, great artisan cider and hand made goat soap which is available at our reception where you can also get advice about the many attractions on offer in the South of Tasmania.

Guests will spot many native animals while strolling over the farm and might even glimpse our resident platypus in one of our dams. The farm is all about relaxing, getting back to nature and reconnecting with your family. Wake up to the fresh country air of Tasmania, it is country living at it`s best.
