It's official — crabbing season is open in the NT, and if our latest 5-day trip is anything to go by, the mud crabs are absolutely on the chew. 🦀🔥

Our crew came up for barramundi — but we made sure they got the full NT experience. One day on the barra grounds, one day reef fishing, and one very memorable afternoon pulling crab pots. Back at , cook with our guests turned that fresh catch into something incredible: curry crab, chilli mud crab, and a barramundi feast that had everyone going back for seconds (and thirds).

Now — barra fishing in the transition? Here's the honest truth: some days you crack a couple. Other days? 16 barramundi in a single session, double hookup chaos, screaming drags — medium fish but 100% action. The guests weren't complaining, and neither were we. 😅

This is the beauty of a mixed itinerary. When you let us plan it around the season, the tides, and the target species — you get something no off-the-shelf tour can offer. Barra at the billabong. June on the billabong hits different. 🎣
The dry season has arrived and the NT is showing off. Glassy water, cool mornings, paperbark reflections, and a resident buffalo keeping watch from the bank — honestly, some of the most beautiful fishing country on the planet.

Now, barra fishing in June? It's not for the impatient. The fish are post-runoff, and they're holding tight to structure — submerged timber, deep bends, shaded banks. You've got to earn it.
