Well our time in the Darwin area in coming to an end..
We have had a relaxing time not rushing around. Mindi Beach Sunset Market, Palmerston and Parpa Village Markets were great with local foods and stalls.
We visited East Point, Cullen Beach, Darwin Waterfront and lagoon, Huppty Doo, Berry Springs for a swim and much more.
The weather has been great between 33 and 37 degrees with the humidity getting up to 64%, so getting sticky, but loving it.

Humm the car decided that it was too hot and didn’t want to go any further and wanted to have a couple of days off.
Yes she over heated, and told us to stop.
So we pulled up and made a couple of phones calls, within 2 hours, the car was on the back of the tow truck along with the van.
Lucky the park we arranged to stay at was on the way to the ford dealership.
The caravan was dropped off and then to the dealership to see if we could get a loan car.. they didn’t have one. We contacted Ford Australia and were provided with a loan car..
Happy to said we were only with out the car for 2 days, they replace the cooling fan relay and she is now happy to continue on with the holiday.

We move on to Dundee Beach, one of Dean’s bucket lists locations.
A lovely location about 90min from Darwin.
It has a fantastic pub, awesome boat ramp.
Boat ramp spending a lot of time out of the water at low tide.
There is some great 4wd tracks that get you down on the beach.
The sun set over the water was incredible.
We had a great time.

We have moved on to Robin Falls, and snagged an incredible spot right on the edge of the creek. I walked to the top of the waterfall thinking there might be a rock pool at the top and only found the little creek just following over the edge. An incredible spot just 20km from Adelaide River.
We tripped into Adelaide River and looked at the WW11 war memorial, very emotional place. We also have a meal at the Adelaide River Inn, home of the Buffalo from “Crocodile Dundee” and a large Croc in a case.

After the Pentecost River we visited Wyndham for a quick to, we will need to return and explore this area further. Back to Kununurra for a couple of days, before moving on.

I’m becoming more confident with the drone… Very happy with the photos I got on the Pentecost River.

Did 2 beautiful walks at El Questro Station, El Questro Gorge to the Half way point and Emma Gorge and did the swim in the refreshing water at the end.
El Questro Gorge the walk to the halfway point was amazing with the green foliage against the red walls.
Emma Gorge is stunning with the refreshing water hole at the end, well worth the walk and getting very hot for..
The sunset back at camp is just beautiful the fishing has been tough, after seeing someone catch a Barra just down from us on the 1st day we were there.

We made our way to the Gibb River Rd and to the Pentecost River to camp in the banks..
There were many van already set up and it was 10am and we managed to snag a spot.
We got talking to our new neighbours from Tasmania, who had just completed the Gibb from the west coast.
After talking with them we headed the 9km up the dirt to Home Valley Station and had lunch, Hamburger and Steak Sandwich, both very nice.
We headed neck to camp for an amazing sunset over the River.

We spent 2 days in Kununurra WA, we checked out Buttons Crossing, Ivanhoe Crossing, Kelly,s K**b lookout over the city at night, visiting the Hoochery Destillery for a Run tasting paddle. We got our washing done and re supplied our vegetables etc after crossing to border.
Very nice part of the world.
