The Top End touring season is in full swing and we’re having the best time sharing our beautiful Top End with our guests.
Here’s a review from one of our recent camping tours we just had to share.
Thank you for the kind words!
“Unforgettable 5-day wilderness adventure in the Top End!
We are now 6 weeks into our 8-week holiday in Australia, and with 2 weeks left to travel, we can already say that this 5-day camping trip with Offroad Dreaming is one of the absolute highlights of the entire trip! We traveled as a family of four (wife and two sons aged 14 and 17), and the program was perfectly balanced for all of us.
Knowledgeable guide and great comfort
Our guide Neville was absolutely fantastic. He had an incredible knowledge of everything we saw and experienced along the way. We were a nice and intimate group of 9 people who were driven in a comfortable 17-seater 4WD.
The coolest trailer on the market!
A chapter in itself was the absolutely incredible trailer Neville had behind the bus. In addition to accommodating all our luggage – so we didn’t have to carry anything inside the bus and had plenty of space – it was a technical marvel in itself! The trailer served as a power source to charge phones, and was equipped with 3 refrigerators, a stove, a grill and its own water supply. Incredibly practical and well thought out!
Unique accommodation and good facilities
We stayed in swags with 75mm mattresses placed inside tents without an outer tent. This was completely new and unusual for us, but the whole family slept incredibly well every single night. In addition, there were consistently good bush showers and toilet facilities at all the camps we stayed at.
World-class food around the campfire
The food Neville served up from the trailer and the campfire exceeded all expectations:
Dinners: Everything from juicy steak, fresh fish and chicken to delicious burgers, campfire-baked potatoes and fresh salads.
Lunch: Leftovers from dinners were transformed into fresh and tasty wraps with crispy vegetables the next day.
Breakfast: One day it was a real hot breakfast with eggs and bacon, while the other days offered a good start with coffee/tea, muesli, yoghurt and fruit salad.
Powerful experiences
During the trip we explored Kakadu, Nitmiluk (Katherine) and Litchfield National Park. The trip offered:
3 fantastic river cruises
7–8 refreshing dips in crystal clear pools
Spectacular viewpoints
A myriad of powerful rock paintings from the indigenous people and educational cultural presentations
If you are considering exploring the Northern Territory, we cannot recommend Offroad Dreaming and Neville highly enough. This is an experience of a lifetime!”
