"We find the best adventures, and we list them on this website"

We love Australia, and we love to travel! But what we really love to do is help promote small, locally owned tour operators who can really provide an authentic Australian experience. Over the years we've helped thousands of travels hook up with amazing tours and have a wonderful time in our home country. After all, it's the stories y

ou take home from your trip and the people you meet that matter the most. If you’re looking for a tour with a great reputation and has the “thumbs up” from a local then contact us. One of our travel gurus will be happy to point you in the right direction. Who we are

Lost in Australia is registered online tour agency that started in late 2010. We are based in the Northern Territory but the team is constantly on the move experiencing first hand the tours we promote on our website. Our moto of "Quality over Quantity" allows us to search for, and find the best of the best. The tours that offer the most: And we list them all down on this website. Since launching in 2010, Lost In Australia now also covers New Zealand and Asia.

Flinders Island is dotted with epic boulders—Castle Rock is a standout, formed over 400 million years ago. Reach it via a 1.5-hour return walk from Allports Beach to Marshall Bay, best done at low tide.

At Killiecrankie Bay, swap big rocks for tiny treasures and fossick for “Killiecrankie Diamonds” (semi-precious topaz). Hire a sieve and shovel locally and see what you find.

Just a short flight from Launceston or Melbourne, this island (55km off Tassie’s NE coast) offers 120+ beaches, quiet roads, a local whisky distillery—and more wombats than people.

⚠️ Check tides, swell, and weather before exploring. Conditions change quickly—stay safe and plan ahead.

Just a short drive from Darwin, Litchfield National Park is made for day trips. 🌴💦
Waterfalls tumbling into crystal-clear pools, shady swimming spots, and striking termite mound fields you won’t find anywhere else.

Start at Florence Falls with a dip in the monsoon-fringed plunge pool. Then drift over to Buley Rockhole, where tiered rock pools and gentle cascades invite you to stay awhile.

Wrap it up at Berry Springs Tavern with a laid-back lunch and something cold. 🌿
