Hawk Dreaming “Nawurrkbil” Wilderness Lodge availability for the 2026 season

Visitors experience a remote and restricted area of Kakadu in an environmentally and culturally sensitive way.

Your small group tour is led by experienced and knowledgeable guides and lodge hosts will provide a three-course dinner prepared by our Thai chef and breakfast daily.

The lodge is situated in an extremely special and justifiably renowned part of the Park, known as Cannon Hill. This area has a large diversity of the Park’s landscape elements and abundant wildlife, especially bird and marine life.

The whole of the Cannon Hill area where the camp is situated is a registered sacred site. The area has considerable importance to the local Aboriginal people.

The sandstone outliers around Cannon Hill host significant rock art & occupation sites dating back many thousands of years.

Ubirr will remain closed over the Easter long weekend with Magela Creek still impassable due to the water level being too high for vehicles to safely cross.

Hawk Dreaming Wilderness Lodge - located in an otherwise restricted area of the Park, Cannon Hill or “Nawurrkbil”, that is renowned for its landscapes and rock art sites. There is only 12 ensuited cabins at the Lodge and the catering is the best in the Park. Packages are available for the dates below for self drive guests.

Ubirr Combo 7 days only this wet season starting Sunday 24th March and running to until Monday 1st of April 2024.

Pick ups in Jabiru from 8.30am and return around 2pmish.
COST: $180 per adult and $110 per child.
The itinerary;

• We collect from Jabiru accommodation at 8.30am drive through the flooded Magela Creek and head straight to Ubirr. After experiencing the Ubirr lookout and art sites we connect with a Guluyambi boat cruise on the East Alligator River. After the cruise clients will be returned to Jabiru at around 2pmish.
