Meet Caramon Khaisir, a descendent of the Woolwonga indigenous tribe that’s located east of the Daly River to Gunlom Falls (in Kakadu), and part of the maintenance team at Adina-Vibe Darwin Waterfront.
"To me, NAIDOC Week means many things. It celebrates and acknowledges the achievements and culture of both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It is nationally recognised across the whole of Australia, and commemorated by people of all different ethnicities and backgrounds.
"But, what I think makes it so special, is that everyone from all backgrounds can embrace and learn from our indigenous peoples - our history, our traditions, our lifestyle and our beliefs that have been passed down from generation to generation."
Caramon is a proud graduate of TFE Hotels' Real Jobs Program in the Top End and a welcome addition to our busy maintenance crew.
