🚂 DENMARK’S RAILWAY HISTORY 🌿
The Elleker–Denmark–Nornalup railway was once a vital connection for Denmark, transporting passengers, timber, produce, supplies and equipment at a time when road transport was extremely limited.
🌉 The Denmark Heritage Rail Bridge was completed in 1929, but interestingly, it wasn’t the first railway bridge across the Denmark River. Earlier bridges had already served the railway before the structure we recognise today was built.
For a growing Denmark, the railway was more than transport — it was a lifeline connecting the town with the wider Great Southern.
Today, when we cruise beneath it aboard the Miss K-Lee, we’re looking at much more than an old bridge.
We’re looking at a piece of infrastructure that helped build, supply and connect Denmark. ❤️
A special thank you to the Denmark Historical Society and the McGuinness family for their help, knowledge and historical information in sharing this story.
🌿 Our river has many stories to tell.

🚤🔧 GETTING THE MISS K-LEE READY FOR THE SEASON! 🌊☀️
There’s plenty happening behind the scenes as we get the Miss K-Lee ready to welcome passengers back aboard for the coming tourist season!
Along with the usual maintenance, servicing and preparation, she’s getting a fresh upgrade with the installation of new EVA marine flooring throughout. 👌
The new flooring will not only give the Miss K-Lee a fresh new look, but also provide a comfortable, durable and non-slip surface for our passengers while out on the water.
Owning and operating a tour vessel means plenty of work happens before the first passenger ever steps aboard — checking, maintaining, cleaning and improving the boat so she’s ready for another busy season exploring the Denmark River and Wilson Inlet.
We can’t wait to show you the finished result! 🚤✨
Not long now until we’re back on the water!

🌊🦢 WILSON INLET — ONE OF DENMARK’S NATURAL TREASURES
When people think of Denmark, Western Australia, they picture William Bay, Greens Pool, Elephant Rocks, the Tree Top Walk and our incredible wineries.
But right on Denmark’s doorstep is another attraction that deserves to be recognised alongside them — Wilson Inlet.
Known as Koorabup / Wilson Inlet — “Place of the Black Swan” — this magnificent waterway is an important part of Denmark’s natural and cultural landscape. 🌿
🦢 Home to an incredible variety of birdlife, including black swans, pelicans, ducks, cormorants, oystercatchers and migratory shorebirds.
🐟 Its rich estuarine waters support a variety of fish and aquatic life and have provided an important fishing ground for generations.
🌿 Surrounded by forest, beaches and rolling hills, the Inlet stretches from the Denmark River to the Southern Ocean, creating one of the Great Southern’s most spectacular waterways.
🚤 Explore it by boat, kayak, paddle board, walking trail or step aboard the Miss K-Lee and experience Denmark from an entirely different perspective.
We believe Wilson Inlet deserves a place on every Denmark visitor’s bucket list, right alongside William Bay, the Tree Top Walk and our wineries.
It’s more than just the water beside Denmark.
It’s part of Denmark’s story. ❤️

🚤 12 YEARS OF THE MISS K-LEE! 🌊⚓
It’s hard to believe that 12 years ago we took delivery of the Miss K-Lee, ready to begin a new addition to the Denmark Rivermouth Caravan Park cruising the beautiful Denmark River and Wilson Inlet.
And 12 years later… we’re still at it! 🙌🚤
The Miss K-Lee was proudly built by Shoreline Marine Fabrication Shoreline Marine Fabrication, and getting her from the truck and onto the Denmark River for the very first time was an adventure in itself!
With the help of THORNTONS HARDWARE and Farr Transport, we were able to unload her, launch her and finally watch the Miss K-Lee float on the Denmark River for the very first time. 🌿🌊
The finishing touch came from Denmark Signworks , who completed the signage and helped give the Miss K-Lee the look so many people have come to recognise.
Since that day, she’s carried thousands of locals and visitors along the Denmark River and out onto Wilson Inlet, creating plenty of memories along the way.
Now, as we prepare for our 2026 season, it’s pretty special looking back at where it all started.
A massive thank you to everyone who helped us get her on the water all those years ago — and to everyone who has stepped aboard and supported us since. ❤️
Here’s to another 12 years of cruising! 🥂🚤

🚤 WE’RE BACK FOR THE 2026 SEASON! 🌊🌿
We’re excited to announce that Denmark River Cruise is returning for 2026, with the Miss K-Lee due to be back on the water in the coming weeks!
Unfortunately, we weren’t able to operate last season after our skipper, Paul, was involved in an accident, which meant we couldn’t deliver the quality experience we want every guest to enjoy.
But 2026 is a fresh start — and we’re ready to get cruising again! 🙌
There is one little disappointing part… we’ve unfortunately lost access to our original Instagram page and have had to start again from scratch.
But that’s okay — this one is going to be even better! 😎
So we need your help to get the word out!
