Another day tomorrow and then I hope I can put the roller away!

This room was originally the wet room/wash room, a semi attached additional room. It had 3 doors and 4 'windows'. To get to the bathroom you have to walk through this room. It was semi stripped and full of rubbish when I bought the place, upon removing the stuff inside we found the original toilet filled in with concrete (a new toilet was installed when a previous owner was offered to get connected to the sewerage), plants growing up the inside walls, windows that were simply a pane of glass being held in place by lengths of timber, rotten base boards or no base boards. It all had to come out and start again.

The electrician has been and has connected some power points and lights...it's getting there. He will be back next week ...

The electrician has been and has connected some power points and lights...it's getting there. He will be back next week to install heat pumps and finish the wiring.
My job is painting, gooping and sanding. All rooms except the sitting room have been undercoated and have had one top coat done. The bedrooms are almost finished with the painting and I can almost close that door!
Still waiting on plaster to dry in the sitting room, and hopefully by Friday afternoon it will be ready to undercoat, my goal is to have all the walls and ceilings painted by Monday.
I will tackle the doors and window trims next week.

Well, I did it, I made a bold move and created another large bedroom where the lounge once was. Why? Well, the house originally had 3 bedrooms, one large and two small, one so small it was hardly a bedroom. And it really needed another bedroom. So there are 2 bedrooms now in the same area down the hallway, and there is a new lounge area in the open plan kitchen, dining, living area. Plenty of room to chill and put your feet up.

The original cottage had 3 sort-of bedrooms; 2 small and one big... I have reconfigured, I now have two big main bedrooms...the blue room and the green room. Both bedrooms are located in a similar area and the kitchen/living/dining/lounge rooms are now located in the same area...much more cohesive.

Two months later and it's looking good. My builder works with me a few days a week, so considering the time he has put in, it is really coming together.
I bought it super cheap as it was unlivable, no power, no water...everything had been stripped or demolished, but at least you could see what you needed to do!
