Heading into Docklands this NYE?
Please note the City of Melbourne New Year Eve’s (NYE) 2024 Temporary Road Closures.

This year, the City of Melbourne is set to once again activate the Docklands area for the New Year's Eve (NYE) celebrations on Tuesday, 31 December 2024, offering a range of free public entertainment.

To ensure the smooth operation of the event and manage the anticipated high volume of traffic, several important temporary road closures will be enforced in the surrounding areas. These closures are critical for the safety and efficiency of the event, and to facilitate the movement of large crowds. There are significant changes to the road closures compared to 2023 and we strongly encourage you to plan your travel and parking arrangements in advance, for full details, please refer to the road closure map.

Road closures: All roads west of Harbour Esplanade will close to all vehicle traffic from 8pm on New Years Eve.
