It was fantastic to see such a positive response to our 13–18yo Introduction to the Paranormal at Wellington Museum NSW. The group was incredibly inquisitive, attentive, and eager to get involved. Its fair to say that the paranormal community is in safe hands with the next gen investigators coming through.
We kicked off with the historical aspects of the gaol and police station, discussing how solid research benefits an investigation and understanding basic ethics. From there, I explained the common tech used in the field, traditional methods, and most importantly, the necessity of debunking. We rounded out the session with a brief, hands-on spirit box experiment using the Estes method.
Our 18+ event followed, and it delved much deeper than I think the group anticipated! 😆
During an Estes session, we were given specific names, dates, and the conviction details of an abhorrent crime. When we researched it later, those factual, published details correlated exactly with what came through.
Moving onto sensory deprivation, things were quieter, though guests reported distinct cold spots and the sensation of someone standing over them. We finished the night by splitting the group between dowsing rods and EVP/EMF monitoring, which yielded some fascinating, on-request EMF fluctuations!
I always love our time in Wellington (NSW). Beyond our tours, it’s just a beautiful town with a deep-rooted history. If you're ever passing through, make sure to pop into 4 Cats Coffee (housed in the old schoolhouse) and take a moment to admire the local architecture!
We have a very special event in the planning stage for our next visit. Stay tuned. 👻🖤👻
