☕️❄️A Warm Welcome to Winter in EM ❄️☕️
In some parts of Oz, people have an aversion to winter, but at Echuca Moama we’re a lover of all seasons.
And as Jack Frost gently settles in here on the Murray, we turn up the heat on embracing experiences and adventures that celebrate the winter chill.
At EM, the colour of winter lies in our imagination. It has a certain slowness, romance and nostalgia to it that can not be seen or touched.
It’s a ‘feeling’ you get as you breathe in the brisk, fresh air while gazing out across the Murray in all her winter glory; or when you’re exploring our riverside tracks, ancient red gum forests and historic streets rugged up in your winter woolies; and when you’re tucked away in a cosy nook of a little wine bar or eatery, hands wrapped around a hot mug of coffee or full bodied red.
It’s discovering local artisans, providores and winemakers in our laneways, markets and paddocks; visiting rare exhibitions at our museums and art galleries; cruising our country’s longest river on board a paddlesteamer or taking a horse-drawn carriage ride through the heart of our historic town.
It’s winter cocktails, festivals and after dark adventures; clear, crisp nights of stargazing in our wide open skies; and the crackle of burning wood, hot flickering flames and toasted marshmellows as you sit around a campfire with friends and family.
It’s indulging in delicious, hearty, locally-produced food; staying in bed late in the morning; and luxuriating in the warmth and ambience of one of our beautiful accommodation houses with a good book and hot chocolate or cup of tea.
Winter in EM is a time for wanderers, dreamers and true adventurers.
