By now, most dog and cat owners should have received their 2026/27 registration renewal notice by email, SMS or post, depending on your preferred contact method.

📅 Registrations are due by Monday, 31 August 2026.

Renewing your pet's registration helps ensure your details are up to date, making it easier to reunite lost pets with their owners and supporting important dog and cat management services across South Australia.

⚠️ Don't leave it too late. Under the Dog and Cat Management Act 1995, registration is compulsory for dogs and cats over three months of age. Following the due date, Council will commence compliance and enforcement activities, and owners of unregistered pets may receive an expiation notice, in addition to being required to register their animal.
