Briggsy and our co-founder Tom grew up playing rugby together, but haven’t seen each other in over 15 years... until this photo showed up.

At work one day, Briggsy spotted his colleague Brian (right) using a tin of SunButter and said, “Wait.. I know the guy who started that!”

Day 1:

Back in croc country 🙌🏼 smoke on the horizon is traditional burning off or what we call cultural burning.
Monetises traditional practices in this area as they get reimbursed through a carbon credit scheme. Nice cold burn of country to regenerate the land and trap carbon in the soil.. hence carbon credits.
This practice dates back tens of thousands of years and has shaped this country into what it is today.
The problem we have all over the country now is these practices have stopped due to Aboriginal family groups being forcibly moved and dispossessed of their traditional lands. When they left so did the knowledge.
Now we have massive bushfires because country has been mismanaged which is what we call a hot burn. Hot burns release all that carbon, that is meant to be trapped in the soil to regenerate fauna & flora, into the atmosphere contributing to our global greenhouse problems.
We will learn 🔥🤷🏼‍♂️
