There have been a lot of changes this year for dual citizens of UK, now it’s Europe’s turn. If you are eligible to be a dual citizen of any country, whether you have a passport or never had one before, please make sure you check entry requirements before booking your holiday so you aren’t caught out.

The European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) is due to be implemented toward the end of 2026. Once implemented, travellers visiting any of the 30 participating European countries visa-free will need to get an ETIAS travel authorisation. The ETIAS is different to the European Entry/Exit System (EES).

Dual citizens of participating European countries or Ireland will not be eligible for an ETIAS travel authorisation. If you’re a dual citizen, once the system is implemented you will not be able to enter any participating countries using your Australian passport. You will have to enter using the passport from your other country of citizenship.

If you don’t have a passport from your other country of citizenship, apply for one soon. Application wait times in some countries can be very long.

It's been a year since once of the best days of my life. I have always wanted to go to Komodo Island but after a few failed attempts due to covid and cancellations we finally got there last year and it was worth the wait!!!

Komodo Island is a National Park and limits the number of visitors each day to look after the park and the dragons.

You can visit on a small - medium size cruise ship like Norwegian Cruise Lines or fly to Labuan Bajo and explore on a day trip from there.

When you book a day trip, make sure you include a visit to Pink Beach for crystal clear water and amazing snorkelling. I can help plan the perfect excursion for you.

The Komodo Dragons are amazing creatures and you have to be on a guided tour with a park guide to visit as they are very dangerous which doesn't surprise me after seeing them in person, their claws are huge.

Our cruise on Norwegian Sun was fantastic, they have some great itineraries to get you to different destinations and depending on the ship they can vary in size. Norwegian Sun was the perfect size as we only had 1500 people on board so you had plenty of space to chill out, could always get a chair by the pool and also has my favourite specialty dining experience of all cruise lines, a Teppanyaki restaurant.

If you have ever wanted to visit Komodo Island or want to experience a Norwegian Cruise ship, please reach out as I can help with your bookings.

My details are [email protected] or 0409 574 355 and I can help you from wherever I am in the world xx

Important update for anyone with travel booked in the next 5 months.

Recent headlines about travel in the next 5 months have been taken out of context, and we don't want our clients making decisions based on misinformation.

ATIA, the Australian Travel Industry Association, is the peak body representing Australia's travel industry. Their CEO, Dean Long, has spoken directly with the expert, Professor Ron Bartsch, quoted in these articles, and confirms his comments were about the potential duration of the Middle East conflict's impact on travel, not a recommendation to cancel your plans.

If you have any concerns about a booking, reach out to your Personal Travel Manager - we have access to the latest advice, supplier updates and options to help with travel with confidence.

For those of you who didn't receive my newsletter on Sunday.

Flights are starting to resume including the first Emirates flight that is on it's way to Sydney at the moment.

I am getting constant updates from all of the airlines so I will keep everyone updated.

I am here to help however I can xx

Dear Clients,

We are aware of the recent developments in the Middle East and the resulting impact on airspace and commercial flight operations in parts of the region. We understand this ongoing situation might be causing concern, especially among travellers flying to or via this region. We'd like to reassure you that we are actively monitoring this fluid situation, and staying closely informed as events unfold.

If you are travelling within the next 72 hours, we will be in direct contact with you should your booking be impacted or if any action is required.

If your travel is scheduled beyond the next 72 hours, we kindly ask for your patience while we prioritise assisting clients with imminent departures. We will continue to monitor developments and will reach out if the situation changes in a way that affects your travel plans.

In the meantime, we recommend reviewing DFAT’s SmartTraveller website for the most up-to-date official travel advice. This will provide the latest government guidance to help you make informed decisions regarding your travel.

Thank you for your understanding. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any concerns
