The Cape Range is waking up.

Out here, the limestone has its own rhythm—and right now, it’s whispering signs of life. Two of our rarest wildflowers are starting to bloom: the Grevillea variifolia subsp. bundera, known as the Cape Range Grevillea, with its firework bursts of red and pink… and the delicate Ipomoea yardiensis—the Yardie Morning Glory—threading its purple trumpets through dry gullies and creek beds.

Both are found only here. Both are reminders that this landscape always has surprises tucked in among the spinifex and stone.

And just like them, we’re nearly ready to emerge. The 2025 trekking season kicks off this May—and the signs couldn’t be more promising.
