Job Opportunities: Multiple Roles for the 2025 Whale Shark Season�

About Us
Ningaloo Whale Shark n Dive is a premium, family-owned eco-tour operator based in Exmouth, Western Australia.
We specialise in Whale Shark, Humpback, and Ningaloo Reef eco tours. Due to expanding operations, we’re seeking enthusiastic and qualified individuals (or those willing to obtain the necessary qualifications) for the 2025 season and beyond.
Multiple Roles Available
Importantly we have a super dynamic team.
Only apply if you have a “can do positive attitude” and a have a passion for on-water eco tours and natural marine environment.
Deckhand (Coxswains Required)(Relief) combined with In-Water Whale Shark Guide
* Provide deckhand duties and assist with vessel operations (Coxswain qualification required—or willingness to obtain with appropriate seatime).
* Act as a spotter and in-water guide during whale shark and reef interactions.
Whale Shark In-Water Swim Guides (Spotters)
* Lead and guide guests in the water for whale shark and reef tours.
* Qualifications: Minimum Divemaster (preferably Instructor) or proven in-water snorkel guiding experience.
* Must have (or be prepared to acquire) any additional certifications needed to safely guide tours.
Whale Shark In-Water Swim Guides (Spotters) + In-Store Sales & Booking Staff (Combined role)
* Split responsibilities between guiding guests in the water and handling sales/bookings in-store.
* Qualifications: Same as the Spotter In-Water Guide role (Divemaster minimum, preferably Instructor) plus strong retail/customer service skills.
Retail Booking Staff
* Manage tour bookings, assist customers in-store with retail sales, and provide front-of-house support.
* Attention to detail
* Preferred Qualifications: High-level interpersonal skills and competency with Rezdy online booking systems; willingness to learn about marine tourism best practices.
* Drivers licence required
Key Requirements (All Roles)
* Excellent Health & Fitness: You’ll be working on boats, in the water, and/or on your feet much of the day.
* Current Senior First Aid Certificate & Life Savers Certificate (or equivalent), or willingness to obtain them promptly.
* Marine/Dive Industry Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience or recognised certification (e.g., PADI Instructor) if applicable to your role.
* Driver’s Licence: LR (Light Rigid) bus licence may be required or willingness to obtain (particularly for in-water guides/spotters).
* Own Exmouth Accommodation: You must be based locally or prepared to secure your own accommodation in Exmouth Town, WA.
* Teamwork & Customer Service: A friendly, professional approach is essential; you’ll be working with diverse teams and clientele.
