How to avoid the landslide on Federal Drive when heading to Collett Cottage:

So if you are coming in via the highway from the north (ie Tweed / Gold Coast), you can still turn off at Mullumbimby and go via Montecollum, you just can't turn right to Federal past Crystal Castle, you'll have to go straight along Coolamon Scenic Drive then turn right at the T junction at the bottom onto Coorabell Road and into Federal.

Or simply take the Byron / Bangalow exit at Ewingsdale and travel along Hinterland Way then right onto Coolamon Scenic Drive and into Federal.

If you are coming in via the South ie Ballina just drive into Federal via the usual route, the land slip is north on Federal Drive past our turnoff so doesn’t effect that drive.
