Today the DBCA Bunuba Rangers were awarded their Certificate III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management. For the last year the team have been showing great skill and dedication to their training as part of the DBCA MATES program. Their commitment, discipline and hard-work were recognised today at the award ceremony at DBCA Kensington in Perth.

Particular mention to Lionel Marr who received the MATES trainee of the year award - what an outstanding achievement πŸ₯³πŸŽ‰πŸŽŠ πŸ’ͺ🏾

The recent devasting flood of the Fitzroy Valley has had an massive impact on Bunuba Country. Bunuba people are the Traditional Owners of Fitzroy Crossing, and our people live in communities along the river, on the edges of the town and the floodplains.

We are looking for donations to help us in restoring our communities, so that our people can once again be self-determining and get back to work in the businesses we run. This is vital for our sense of community pride – we need to play an active role in our recovery.
Please help us in anyway you can 🧑

We wish you all a happy International Women's Day

The UN theme for IWD this year is Changing Climates: Equality today for a sustainable tomorrow

Bunuba wiyi (women) are the foundation of Bunuba language, knowledge, and culture. Our wiyi are responsible for teaching the next Bunuba generations everything about our animals, plants, fish, trees, birds and our cultural obligations in caring for County. We need to keep this knowledge strong across the ages so that Bunuba Country remains healthy into the future unknown 🧑🧑🧑
