The Lobster Ponds Haven offers a unique experience to view and learn about the Giant Freshwater Crayfish. These extrordinay creatures are the largest crustacean in the world and are exclusive to Northern Tasmania. The viewing room with it's tanks and ponds are displayed within the native gardens, enjoy the peaceful relaxing atmosphere as you learn about these extraordinary creatures. We are located in the quiet farming town of Flowerdale, just 10 minutes drive from Wynyard.

You won’t see these little fellas at the Lobster Ponds but you will get up close to the world’s largest freshwater crayfish, our Tassie lobster, a variety of freshwater fish including rainbow trout, PLUS a walk through aviary where you will see the endangered swift parrots and a variety of finches including the beautiful firetails and gouldians.
Open Saturdays and Sundays over winter, cafe also open 10 am till 3 pm for coffee, scones and snacks.
