Barrington Coast is the destination brand of MidCoast Council. We're a tourism destination on the lower mid north coast of New South Wales, Australia (encompassing the Great Lakes, Manning Valley & Gloucester regions): over 10,000 square kms, from our highest point at world heritage Barrington Tops to our Pacific Ocean coastline. We are committed to upholding and promoting the follo

Openness – our social media platforms are placed where anyone can share and discuss issues that are relevant to promoting our tourism destination and the community we represent and serve. Relevance – we will ensure our social media platforms are kept up to date with informative content about our tourism destination. Accuracy – the content we upload onto our social media platforms and any other social media platform will be a source of truth for our tourism destination and we will prioritise the need to correct inaccuracies when they occur. We will uphold and promote the behavioural standards contained in this policy and our Council’s code of conduct when using our social media platforms and any other social media platform. Council acknowledges the ongoing challenges faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and recognises the importance of government and the community coming together to achieve the best possible outcomes for the future. Comments that vilify, humiliate, or disrespect any community group will be removed. Moderating our page
We encourage you to discuss and share your opinions on the things we post and welcome your comments, however we do moderate our page to ensure comments, photos, videos, etc do not contain anything that may:
• incite, induce or aid violence, discriminate, harass, victimise or provoke hatred towards others, or are likely to offend, insult or humiliate others, particularly on the basis of their race, colour, descent, national origin, religion, ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation or any disability.
• is defamatory, offensive, humiliating, threatening or intimidating to council officials or members of the public,
• contains profane language or is sexual in nature
• constitutes harassment and/or bullying within the meaning of the Model Code of Conduct for Local Councils
in NSW, or is unlawfully discriminatory
• contains content about the Council, council officials or members of the public that is misleading or deceptive

consideration of a matter under the Procedures for the Administration of the Model Code of Conduct for Local
Councils in NSW,
• violates an order made by a court
• breaches copyright
• advertises, endorses or solicits commercial products or business other than those relating to tourism
• constitutes spam
• would be in breach of Facebook Statement of Rights and Responsibilities

This nature walk starts at the Forster Ocean Baths and continues through to Second Head with two ocean view lookouts. Take the stairs to Pebbly Beach, then continue along the foreshore past the rock pool formation called The Tanks which is a popular swimming spot for families.
