Hidden Treasures is back next month and they're turning up the volume in Freo 🔊

Returning for another year, Hidden Treasures is shining a spotlight on emerging artists through intimate gigs in local, much‑loved venues. This time around, the series is taking over North Fremantle Bowls Club and Hilton Bowling Club - two iconic spaces with serious community spirit.

Expect fresh sounds, unexpected performances and nights that feel like you’ve discovered something special ✨

THIS IS DOWNTOWN 🩷

Downtown is about as quintessentially Fremantle as it gets. Not only is it the birthplace of West Australian alfresco dining, which kicked off on the South Terrace Cappuccino Strip in 1977, but it's also affectionately dubbed the 'first stage' of musician John Butler.

Scratch the surface, and you’ll uncover daring tales of convict escapes, shipwrecks and gold‑rush riches. Wander a little further, and you’ll find the Fremantle Markets, trading since 1897 and still housed in one of only two surviving municipal market buildings in WA.

Heritage buildings with stories to tell are everywhere, including the former Port Mill, now Whisper Wine Bar; and the Esplanade Hotel Fremantle's Ball & Chain Bar, one of the township's earliest pubs.
