** Important Update regarding travel to South Africa from 01 July **

Please be advised that, effective 1 July 2026, the South African Revenue Service (SARS) requires all travellers entering or departing South Africa to complete a mandatory online Traveller Declaration prior to travel. This declaration forms part of South Africa's Customs process and enables travellers to fulfil their legal obligation to declare goods, currency and any other relevant items being brought into or taken out of the country.

What You Need to Know

Who does this apply to? All travellers entering or departing South Africa by air, land or sea.
When should it be completed? Before the commencement of your journey.
Why is it required? To declare goods, currency and other applicable items in accordance with South African Customs regulations (South African Revenue Service)

The online Traveller Declaration can be accessed via the SARS Traveller Declaration Portal. https://www.sars.gov.za/travellerdeclaration/

🚨 Important Europe Travel Update 🇪🇺✈️

The new ETIAS travel authorisation is expected to come into effect in the last quarter of 2026.

If you’re an Australian passport holder but also hold (or are automatically entitled to) citizenship in an EU country through family ties, this could affect you.

Under the new rules, dual citizens of an EU country will need to enter Europe using their EU passport — not their Australian one. 🛂

If you haven’t already looked into claiming your EU citizenship or applying for that passport, now is the time to start. These processes can take months, and planning ahead will help avoid any future travel disruptions. ⏳🌍
