Peterborough SA, also a great stop with alot of history all revolving around mining and the town being the centre of the train hub in the outback, once again when the train industry changed and stopped the town did also. Tourism keeps it ticking over nowadays

Called into Farina today, an abandoned town that still has an operational underground bakery oven that the locals fire up for 8 weeks every year.
Up to 300 people lived here in the day until they changed the route of the Ghan, there was nothing to keep people around so they all slowly left. Whats left is now maintained by the locals in the area, lots of history and pretty cool to see.
(The pies and fresh bread are amazing 😋)
