⛽️FUEL LEVY NOTICE - HARBOUR ISLAND SERVICE⛽️

We wish to advise our valued customers that, due to rising fuel costs, Curtis Ferry Services will be applying a fuel levy to fares on the Harbour Island Service. The new pricing will take effect from 28/03/2026 and will be a sweeping increase of 11%.

Prices will remain at this level until the 28th of April, when they will be reassessed.

For any questions or concerns, please contact us via email at [email protected].

We appreciate your understanding and continued support as we strive to maintain reliable and safe transport for our community.

***Service announcement fuel levy***
For the last 14 days we have worn the increased fuel cost for our ferry services.

For our business to remain viable instead of increasing our prices we have opted for a fuel levy that can removed once fuel costs are reduced.

Harbour Islands
Fuel Levy calculations for harbour islands service will be
Cost of fuel - Fuel base price / annualized daily revenue as a percentage added to total fare.
Current fuel in the ferry has cost $2.38 which would incur a levy of 8%.
We generally only fuel up every 28 days so prices will be consistent for that time. (We are expecting fuel for the next 28 day cycle to cost $24,000 just for the harbour ferry service = $1,000 a day).

Offshore Islands - Northwest/Masthead Islands
Cost of fuel - Fuel base price / Passengers: added to fare.

Example Fuel $3.50 per liter
Passenger numbers 25 would see a levy of $150 per passenger.
Passenger numbers 40 would see a levy of $92.50 per person.

These fuel costs are very well out of our control, we seek to recover the extra expenses but not profit from these levy's, as per the ACCC guidelines.

As always I ask our customers to be respectful to our staff, and if you have a complaint please forward them to ATT: Adam at [email protected] where I will have them addressed.
