The amazing Nuala Hafner was a fill in weather presenter for Sunrise morning show, the team came abseiling with me from the Gordon Dam, back in 2015.

She was an amazing intelligent person to work with and was very happy standing on the edge of a very big drop, see her smile.

The morning show averages around 480,000 viewers per day.

The real benefit for this exposure is the tourism benefit to Tasmania, the conversion is up to 2% of travellers may come to our state after seeing the show.

According to Tourism Tasmania visitor data, the overall average spend per person is approximately $2,700 per trip, which breaks down to roughly $270 to $290 per night.

For a standard seven-day trip, an individual tourist typically spends between $1,900 and $2,100, while a couple can expect a combined total of about $2,800 to $4,500.

Let’s say we had based on tourism data it could have resulted in 9,600 tourists each spending $2,700 over 7 days.

That’s a staggering $25.9m economic benefit the state from that one morning, this didn’t cost taxpayers anything.

That’s not bad for a mornings work.
