Day 6 & 7 didn't involve any bottoms on bikes but it definitely didn't disappoint with a trip out to Milford Sound and some more antics back in Queenstown. 😁😁

The scenery on the way to Milford was both beautiful and also very educational with our private driver and guide providing us with everything we needed as far as nature and history of such an amazing part of NZ.

On arrival at Milford we took a lil hike up to a lookout point and then boarded our boat for our overnight stay on Milford Sound.

Amazing waterfalls and towering cliffs followed by a great kayak around the sound and then a rippa of a very chilly swim 🥶 The best and most amusing water entries provided much laughter for everyone aboard by our Adventures 2 Fit crew 🤣🤣
Thanks to Linda for the pictures as we all entered the freezing water in our own chosen way 😂

After some fun on board the boat we headed back to Queenstown the next morning... some shopping, more eating, ice cream for some and even a sneaky but hard Parkrun for a few this morning before heading to the airport.



Such a fun and amazing adventure with an extremely funny bunch of people from all walks of life.

Day 5 was meant to be a day of NO BIKES but some of us just couldn't stay away from the pushies. After leaving Cromwell we travelled down to the beautiful lil town of Te-Anau that sits on an enormous amazing lake and is pretty much the doorway to Milford Sound.

Some of us did the jet boating, organised bike ride or the glow worm cave tour, whilst others decided to explore the town and hire some bikes for a couple of hours of self exploration 😁😁

Our accommodation was very cute apartments right on the Lake so after a few drinks together in the afternoon at the Moose Bar we all opted for takeaway food and drinks where we gathered at our picnic tables out the front of our rooms.

Another day full of amazing scenery en route to Te-Anau and even a fantastic sunset across Lake Te-Anau to finish another jam packed day of fun.

Off to Milford Sound tomorrow....very excited!

Day 4 pedalling to Gibbstown Valley and our final day cycling before we start our trek towards Milford Sound.

The weather has been sensational...we really lucked the crisp still days. A lil chilly in the morning but then down to t-shirts and singlets as the day went on.

After some breakfast at the famous Arrowtown bakery we started our ride towards the Gibbstown Valley winery region.
Following the river lined with tall poplar trees we crossed many swinging bridges before eventually reaching the World Famous A J Hackett Bridge....home of the first commercial bungy jumping.

Unfortunately Peter broke a chain just before reaching the bridge so he coasted into A J Hackett and we called the bike company to come replace his bike 🤣 whilst we entertained ourselves watching tourists jump from the bridge.

A new bike for Peter and we were on our way....the scenery was amazing as we followed the turquoise, fast flowing Kawarau River passing many vineyards along the way.

We reached the Gibbstown Valley Tavern right on time for lunch and relax in the sun. 😍🚵 Here we said goodbye to our bikes, regained our other luggage and jumped on a coach to Cromwell where we had some lovely accommodation near the lake.

Kaitlin took a swim 🥶 and we enjoyed a delicious meal in the restaurant.

Another fun-filled day and the end to our cycling experience 😁

Day 3 was spent exploring in and around Arrowtown by both bike and on foot on what was Octago Day - a public holiday in NZ 😁

A cruise through the main Street of Arrowtown and a breakfast adventure which saw us all split up (much to Jane's disgrace 🤣🤣)

Then it was a ride up the lookout for some amazing scenery of Arrowtown followed by a lil walk through the cemetery on the hill which was quite interesting.

A cruise through the Chinese Settlement area provided some laughs...lucky Matt kept his helmet on ⛑️ as these lil houses built into the side of the hill weren't made for tall people 😜🤯

A ride on the Twin Rivers Trail Loop saw some bike skills put to use with river crossings, and bridge navigation being the test of the day.

Some fun in and around Arrowtown with some venturing to the fun parlour with Ceryl the cranky French wine tasting man who took offence to Bridgette opening her own wine bottle (after many wine tastings) with the cork opener that Matt just happened to stumble upon 🍾❌ 🤣 All this happening whilst Jane and Nicole tested out every pub in town finally settling in at the "Fork n Tap"

Many laughs as we all came together at the Tap n Fork, a Braveheart Mel Gibson moment by Matt left everyone in stitches of laughter and a crispy sour apple from the free apple tree on the way home.

All in all, another super fun day....our belly's hurting from laughing so much and just a lil bit of cycling to keep Gary in the know before another big day of riding in stall for Day 4

Day 2 and our first day on the bikes 😁🚵 for the NZ Trippers started with an amazing buffet breakfast at our Crowne Plaza hotel.

All loaded up with energy for a cracking day we headed to our bike shop with our minimalist packs for the next three days of fun and adventure.

Out through the beautiful city of Queenstown headed towards the Shotover Bridge, 7 on E-bikes and 7 on normal mountain bike s...the weather really turned it on for us and soon we were stripping off the jackets and arm warmers as we rode alongside the amazing Remarkable Mountains.

A couple of lil hiccups along the way but nothing was stopping these adventurers as they made their way along the very beautiful, and lil bit challenging "Countryside Trail"

We took a detour and decided to check out the scenery of Lake Hayes and then conveniently found the Ayrburne Winery...a beautiful spot with huge timber fauna, beautiful gardens and a great bar. We stopped here and took a rest outside before heading on through the Millbrook Golf course estate and ending in Arrowtown.

An amazing stop at the "Fork n Tap" for drinks, then onto dinner at the New Orleans Hotel before heading back to our accommodation to re-energize for Day 3 in Arrowtown.
