South Australia's Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre, usually just a barren expanse of salt in the most arid corner of Australia, is about to transform into our largest lake.

The deluge which battered Queensland in late March is now draining downhill through Channel Country to Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre in South Australia — a catchment area five times the size of the UK.

Based off current river levels upstream, it's expected Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre will see the most water in at least six years.

However, locals are convinced levels will surpass 2019 and should be similar to 2010.

We’ve been flying essential support crews out west to Longreach, Jundah, Birdsville and Windorah as communities begin to recover from recent flood events. While water is now moving south through Birdsville toward Innamincka and Lake Eyre, the impact remains significant.

Our passengers today are part of the dedicated Community Recovery teams, helping locals through evacuation centres and vital support work on the ground. We’re proud to play a small part in helping these resilient towns get back on their feet.

We had a wonderful day yesterday at Southport Flying Club – Mason Field, proudly supporting an event to honour our veterans. It was a joy to see so many take to the skies on a scenic flight ✈️

A special thanks to club member John Halloran and his family, who brought this day to life.

Fantastic to see the community come together with Premier David Crisafulli MP, Cameron Caldwell MP, Councillor Shelley Curtis, Councillor Joe Wilkinson and the veterans from the Runaway Bay RSL club come out for the event! 🙌🏻

These photos were captured around Quilpie, a reminder of both the vastness and vulnerability of our outback communities.

Chief Engineer Mike and Hangar Forman Will lead the group and shared their expertise on turbine engines and delved into the daily responsibilities of an Aircraft Engineer for a General Aviation business.

Our Engineering team have done an outstanding job this month 🙌🏻 Not only do they maintain our fleet of 6 Cessna Caravans and 1 Twin Otter to the highest standards, but they’ve also successfully completed a Blackhawk XP140 engine upgrade and float conversion on VH-LMD !!

This is the first Blackhawk XP140 modification on a short body in Australia, making it a wicked aeroplane on both wheels and floats! 🔥
