The BMW Safari is a multi-day ride of either off-road adventure or road-touring for BMW motorcycle owners. The event is an official event of BMW Motorrad Australia. It is unique to Australia and there are two different flavours of the Safari – the “TS Safari” for road bikes and the “GS Safari” for off-road adventure bikes like the legendary R 1200 GS.

Time to head north and say goodbye to Hobart. We cruised rolling farmlands and along the coast to visit Seals, the famous Bicheno Lobster Shack and tackle heavenly Elephant Pass before arriving in picturesque St Helens. Day 4 was simply 305km of perfection.

We love a loop day… 274km’s of Hobart’s finest roads, riding across the Derwent River & down to historic Port Arthur before looping back and climbing up Mt Wellington for some of the best views in .

Some of our favourite TS roads in … Day 2 we were lucky to twist our way from Strahan through the famous 99 bends out of Queenstown, past Derwent Bridge and into Hobart.

MEET THE SAFARI CREW
Lach has been riding motorcycles since he was a kid and has spent years developing his skills, competing nationally in motocross before discovering his love for adventure riding. He is currently representing Australia in Romania at the 2026 BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy.

Lach is much more than just a talented rider. He’s a valued member of the crew who remains incredibly calm under pressure, is always proactive in supporting both customers and crew, and is ready to lend a hand wherever he’s needed.

With a wealth of riding experience, a willingness to get stuck in and, of course, a knack for keeping the front wheel in the air, Lach is an integral part of the BMW Safari team and a true larrikin.
