Standing with giants.
Every year we sponsor and support at The Doyles award on the Gold Coast.
It is an exhibition run by artists for artists and driven by volunteers.
It’s open this week in Mudgeeraba so go take a look.
This is a pic of me standing next to one of this years judges artist Kasey Sealy (who also teaches for Artable) and artist Kerry Nobbs who was at awards night.
Anyone who has visited our Tassie retreat property would have seen the enormous landscape oil painting in our dining room by Kerry. I bought it after he loaned it to me and I couldn’t part with it!
Then there’s a pic of just one of the days volunteers come in to help accept entries that I was also a part of. I love it because it embodies the spirit of the Doyle’s.
A bunch of committed, creative souls getting behind something that they love. The laughter and the joy that comes with this event is amazing.
This week 1000’s will attend and look at the artworks. They won’t see the hundreds of hours behind the organising and the time people give to make it happen. But we do.
Thankyou to every single person who puts their hand up, sends words of kindness and support in the community and generally helps out. You are all legends and we see you ❤️
