A little taste of Europe, right here in Brisbane. 🎻

As part of Brisbane German Week, we had the pleasure of attending Baroque on the Hill, a beautiful evening celebrating the music of Johann Sebastian Bach.

Set within the magnificent St Brigid's Church in Red Hill, the evening featured the wonderful talents of Madeleine Easton on Baroque violin and Peter Roennfeldt on harpsichord. The combination of exquisite music, stunning architecture and atmosphere made for a truly memorable experience.

And sometimes, a little piece of Europe can be found right here at home. ❤️

A little taste of Malta in Brisbane 🇲🇹

Such a lovely evening with Visit Malta and Emirates, learning more about beautiful Malta and everything this Mediterranean gem has to offer.

It was great catching up with Mario Farrugia Borg, Director Australia & New Zealand for Visit Malta, Leonie Brennan, Regional Sales Manager for Emirates, and Sandra Micallef, Honorary Consul of Malta for Southern Queensland, along with fellow members of the travel industry.

A big thank you to Visit Malta and Emirates for a fantastic evening at Layla Restaurant.

And the perfect way to finish the night… Chip won a trip to Malta! 🇲🇹🥳✈️

✈️ Ever wondered why food can taste different when you fly?

It turns out, it may not be the food. 👀

The dry air and pressurised cabin environment can affect our perception of taste and smell.

Research has found that saltiness and sweetness can seem less intense in the air.

But here's the interesting part… umami — that rich, savoury taste found in foods such as tomatoes — holds up much better. 🍅
