Imagine being a little girl so excited to dance in the lounge room, beyond thrilled to be included in the moment, to then being told to sit down, to stop being silly and to be quiet because apparently you weren’t doing it right.
Now imagine that happening so many times that eventually... you stopped getting excited about dancing in the comfort of your childhood home - or anywhere from that time onwards. You stopped trying. You just sat down before anyone could tell you to.
That little girl was me.
And I have carried that conditioning for almost thirty years.
Dancing and movement are part of everyday life.
And for a long time I let it be taken from me without even realising it.
Now when my son dances, I cheer him on with everything I’ve got. Because I know what it feels like to have that moment shut down and he will never (ever) feel that on my watch.
And me?
Here I am building an element of dance into every single event I run.
Every retreat. Every TTS. ( )
Not because I love it 🙈
It still scares the hell outta me every single time.
But because I’m healing too. Personally and professionally. And I refuse to let an old childhood story keep me small and insecure in myself.
If after living that truth for majority of my life, I can dance in front of people and post it on the internet - I believe you can do hard things too.
The *BS* stories we keep feeding ourselves don’t serve us. They never did.
What’s something that’s been holding you back? My DMs are open. 💌
Special shoutout to for always bringing the vibes xx
And if you’re ready to stop letting the old stories run the show - this years 2026 virtual event was made for you.
Join us live 30–31 July.
Because this is the exact energy we’re bringing.
