'This trip is so you' I said when Michelle first landed this trip.

So excited to see Michelle Pelley from TravelManagers Australia head off this week on an incredible famil to Perth + Karijini in Western Australia. An EPIC opportunity that came off the back of a conversation and recommendation within our Travel Agent Runway community.

Michelle is your active, outdoorsy, say-yes-to-the-adventure kind of girl.

She's the type who leans into every experience with her whole heart and creates travel content that feels real, warm and genuinely connected to her audience.

My hell yes moment of 2026 wasn't to rebrand my podcast, until it was. 🎙️

A lot has shifted behind the scenes of The Stephanie Myers Academy and after my dumpster fire end to 2025, it made sense to sit down and plan out my 2026 strategy.

What did I want from 2026 exactly? Well, here's where the narrator totally went rogue.

While I was getting honest about the life and business experience I wanted this year, I realised a few things I was prioritising needed to change.

Since 2018, I’ve been behind the mic with my podcast. In 2020/2021, Unplug In Paradise skyrocketed the Apple Podcast charts and travelled the globe.

It built my authority and gave me a voice in the travel industry, created life long friendships and generously opened doors I’ll forever be grateful for.

But what those Instagram experts don't tell you about growth is that it almost (never) moves in a straight line.

We tell ourselves that we’ll only be ready to take action once our ducks are in a row.

I know I shouldn't be publicly announcing this, but want to know what the funny thing is?

I’ve NEVER had my bloody ducks in a row.

Half of them, aren’t even ducks I don't think. Some of them are geese.
Oh well. Close enough.

And yet… here we are. Taking imperfect action because it feels right.

Personally and professionally, this next era is a biggy! We're turning the page on Unplug In Paradise and introducing her big sister, Unplug The Brand.

A show that respects where I’m at. That honours my capacity to contribute. One that sparks my own curiosity as well serving those well inside of the communities I have built and am apart of.

And mostly... it’s more aligned with who I'm becoming.

For sticking around while I figured things out in real time.

I'm really super proud of what I have in the pipeline for this next chapter. I don't have to know exactly what it looks like just yet, but knowing it's on its way is so bloody exciting. And that feels like enough.

Is it just me or is it time to refresh your digital assets?

If you're in the travel industry and you’ve done a brand shoot recently, this is your queue to post the photos.

It takes 2 minutes to update your profile. Refresh your headshot. Let people see you. 🤩

Because let's be real for a sec... people generally find it extremely hard to connect with logos and/or pretty graphics. They want to connect with people.

I know the moment I can't detect a human life form behind a brand and have to swipe-search, scan their images for a 'face' for point of reference, I'm already tapping out.

I go from warm (hopeful) to ice cold (saddened at no soul behind the brand).

Expecting people to invest in you means being willing to show up for your business, visibly, imperfectly and in all of your glory. (Insert my headshot)

The tides are changing and we are not longer hiding behind sunglasses, or clinging on to the hope of looking like we did in a 10+ year old photo of ourselves or a business logo replacing your prime spot of showing up for your brand.

So… quick re-intro 👋

Working for yourself is hard.
And no one knew that better than my dad, my biggest cheerleader from day one.

He didn’t earn his top fan badge for nothing.

He liked, commented and watched every single story as if it were his full-time job. He kept up with every collaboration, every project and every incredible human I am lucky enough to work alongside.

He was endlessly curious about how it all worked behind the scenes, often shaking his head in absolute awe and telling me how clever I was to have the ‘smarts’ to bring it all together.

Losing my dad in November has hit me hard.
Out of all the people in my online community, I lost the one follower who never doubted me for a second - the one who was genuinely invested, who celebrated every win, big or small and who helped me hold it together when things felt too big for me.

Dad, may you forever be my top fan badge holder.
Thank you for always believing in my work and in me. 🤍
