It was a privilege for Shaw Building Group to present a cheque to Carers ACT last week for money raised and donated through our annual Charity Bowls Day.

WOW! Now that's a generous sponsor with a BIG heart for carers! The Shaw Building Group today presented Carers ACT with a $94,543.70 cheque to help YOU - our carers. Their 12 years of loyal support has meant we've been able to spoil carers with many wonderful activities and resources over those years to make your lives a bit easier. Shaw Building Group hosted the Annual Charity Bowls Day for Carers ACT on Thursday, 16 March. Although the weather threatened to put a dampener on our day it ended up a dry, successful and fun afternoon for all who attended.
Shaw Building Group has supported Carers ACT for the last 12 years and has raised in excess of $865,000 with all funds going directly to Carers to assist them and the family carers they support in our community.
A big thank you to Towncentre Vikings Club Tuggeranong for all their effort and support.

Shaw Building Group has supported Carers ACT for the last 12 years and has raised in excess of $760,000 with all funds going directly to Carers to assist them and the family carers they support in our community.
This year our Charity Bowls Day is being held on Thursday, 16 March at the Towncentre Vikings Club. We will have approximately 180 people bowling to raise money for Carers ACT.
All money raised goes directly to Carers ACT to help fund respite for families in Canberra who shoulder the burden of full time care of a family member. One of the areas the money goes to providing them with a short break that Carers ACT organises. In 2017 it would be fantastic if we can assist an even higher number of carers to experience some respite to refresh and revive themselves.

One of our boys took part in the Hartley Lifecare Ability Cycle Challenge, in a team sponsored by Shaw Building Group. The Challenge is an on road cycling event held across two stages and over a total of four days. Participants complete more than 450kms of cycling and months of fundraising leading up to the event.
Time to start training for next year!
