A long, narrow, shallow, lagoon stretching more than 100 kilometres from the end of the River Murray. The Coorong is separated from the Southern Ocean by a series of sand dunes and supported by fresh water flows from the River Murray and tidal movement from the sea. 🚨 LAST-MINUTE SPACES – THIS SUNDAY! 🚨

A handful of spaces have just become available on our incredible specialty RIVER, COORONG & LAKES EXPERIENCE this Sunday!

This is no ordinary day cruise. Travel aboard two vessels on an epic journey through some of South Australia’s most spectacular waterways. 🚤

From Goolwa, we’ll explore Lake Alexandrina & Lake Albert, visit Australia’s only inland freshwater lighthouse, cruise through The Narrows and on to Meningie, before venturing deep into the internationally significant Coorong wetlands.

Then it’s through the Coorong estuary, past towering sand dunes and iconic Storm Boy country, to the Murray Mouth – where Australia’s greatest river meets the Southern Ocean – before passing through the Goolwa Barrage Lock and returning to Goolwa.

Guests over the weekend spotted a kangaroo taking his afternoon swim to the next level. 🦘

This guy looks to have swam from the sandy dunes of the Coorong’s Young Husband peninsula to the shrubby scrub of Ewe Island! 🏊

We stayed around to make sure the kangaroo made it across safe and sound.

Not often we see Big Duck Boat Tours in our neck of the woods 👀 who should we see as we come through the historic lock of Goolwa Barrage?
Kondoli, who cruised over from Wirrina Cove and through the Murray Mouth, but not before spending some time in Victor Harbor for a tour or two.
