Honestly, not enough people know about Lawrence. Take the free car ferry across the Clarence River (yes, free, yes one of the last in NSW). And look up when you get there.

The Lawrence water tower mural is one of the stops on the Clarence Valley Public Art Trail, a self-guided journey through art, culture and community across the region.

Have a meal at the tavern. Chat with a local at the general store and cafe. Take the ferry back just because you can.
