Halfway between Coffs Harbour and Byron Bay, right here in Northern NSWโ€ฆ Maclean is less than five minutes off the Pacific Highway. It's the kind of easy stop that turns into something more.

BONUS: Clarence Harvest Celebration is on 5-7 June. Make it this weekend you stop by to Maclean.

But hereโ€™s your warning: if you do take the turn, you might not want to leave.

The Northern Rivers Traveller guide has landed in the Clarence Valley!

A collaboration across Northern Rivers tourism teams and Adhere Marketing - Byron Bay, this publication brings together stories from across the region, highlighting the coast, rivers, towns, food, culture and landscapes that sit side by side here in Northern NSW.

The focus is simple: for visitors to experience the region more deeply, and encourage travel thatโ€™s a little slower, a little more local, and more intentional.

You might also spot it as an insert in Australian Traveller magazineโ€™s latest edition.

Stock is rolling out over the next week. Pick up a copy in the Clarence Valley at:

The Clarence Valley is home to the longest mapped whitewater trail in Australia and while it looks like a wild ride, itโ€™s definitely best experienced with someone who actually knows the river like

Thatโ€™s where the local guides come in. They know the rapids, the calm stretches, the good spots to stopโ€ฆ and ideally how to keep you from paddling in circles.

Have you been to Yamba? Well, it just landed #14 on Australian Travellerโ€™s 100 Best Towns to Visit in Australia 2026. So in that spirit, we're doing our own Best Towns edition. Drop a comment and tell us which town deserves the top spot - the ones that still feel like themselves, and no desire to become anything else.

Every town has its people. Which one's yours?

When it comes to nature, if it doesn't fit in your camera roll, or your heart... it stays here. Except rubbish, it can go with you.

Leave shells on the beach, rocks by the river, and wildflowers where theyโ€™re blooming their little hearts out. Itโ€™s simple: you take the memories, and nature keeps everything else.

Nature will thank you (and so will the locals- probably with a nod of approval).

๐Ÿ‘‰ Here's some of our favourites from our camera roll. Share in the comments some of your favourite memories.
