Kokoda Campaign Tours is an Australian based company registered with the Investment Promotions Authority in Papua New Guinea and holds a commercial tour operators licence with the Kokoda Track Authority (licence number 87). Our PNG leed guides are the best of the best with descendants back to the Papuan Infantry Battalion, their track knowledge with a combined total in excess of 150 track crossing

s puts them at the top. All current safety equipment is up to date with the latest in technology, with back to Australia contact made daily to ensure the groups progress/safety is monitored. Our company prides itself in giving back to the communities that help us to navigate this journey. We have assisted many villages along the track, we have facilitated the delivery of medical equipment donated by past trekkers, and assisted local schools with donations of money and vital school equipment. Previous treks we have fundraised for charities such as Black Dog Institute. Our focus over the past couple of years has been to assist our Kokoda legends by assisting them to establish a Cacao export company, to serve the local farmers in gaining best value for their products,

Hi all, we’ve been a tad quiet for a while, things happen but we are back baby!!

Things are back on track for a comeback in 2027!!

If, like us, you’ve been missing the boys and the jungle, let’s jump on board!!
Dates will be announced soon.

ANZAC day will definitely be on the agenda but we may mix it up a bit by starting on the 26th

Our last Kokoda vet has passed!!
The legend lives on in their stories, our treks pay homage to these wonderful Australians who fought for our country. We must keep the campaign alive and honour these absolute wonderful humans!!

Trekking Kokoda is not easy, it’s not for the faint of heart. Is it a pilgrimage? No!! What it is, is a journey, a trek through some of the most beautiful jungle to learn about a culture, learn about a war that shouldn’t have been thrust upon the people of PNG. To pay our respects to our diggers who paid the ultimate sacrifice for the saviour of our country. To pay our respects for those soldiers who brought home memories that haunted them for the rest of their lives. It’s to visit sites of extreme importance to our history, the Kokoda Campaign.
Our porters are all from Kokoda, Robert, our lead guide has over 100 crossings, our porters are paid 100kina per day minimum which is well above what’s described as the norm and eat well, in fact they often feed other porters who are not fed by their guides!!No hidden costs,
It’s to learn what life is like for people from the Oro province.

As you maybe aware the track has been closed by way of a blockade at Nauro since September!!
Whilst I do sympathise with them, my heart also bleeds for the rest of the people along the track, in small and large communities that rely on the trekking season for income.
There’s no compensation for them!!

So who’s in for the ANZAC TREK next April? 12-25th let’s support the people along the track and help them all recover!!
