GYMPIE STRUCK GOLD 159 YEARS AGO TODAY! ⛏️✨

It all started on 16 October 1867, when James Nash discovered 72 ounces of gold and sparked a gold rush that would change Queensland’s future, earning Gympie the proud title of “The Town that Saved Queensland.”

159 years later, our town’s rich history and community spirit are still shining just as brightly!
